How do I become part of the Mob?

Once you’ve downloaded BuzzMob onto your smartphone, you will need to register as a new user to join the Mob. Here’s how you do it:

  • At the login screen, touch the “New User” button and you will be taken to the “Set Up Your Profile” screen.
  • First, enter your name, create a username (this will be our BuzzMob identity), and provide an email address. The email address is important, as it will allow you to create private mobs and to share things with your friends.
  • Next, add your profile photo. This avatar will be unique to your username. The avatar can be an image taken with the phone’s camera or selected from an existing image from your gallery. Of course, you can choose to not add an avatar, but that would be too boring, don’t you think?
  • Next, check the box to show agree to BuzzMob’s Terms of Service (all that fine print!), which you can read.
  • Assuming you are happy with your Profile set up details, you can press the “Join BuzzMob” button and you will taken to the login screen to enter your newly created user name and password to enter BuzzMob!
  • Oops! Our friends at Facebook would appreciate us reminding you that you can also join BuzzMob with Facebook Connect. To do so, simply touch the “Connect with Facebook” button.
  • Congratulations, you are now ready to experience social networking as you’ve never done before!

What are my privacy options?

We know you take your privacy seriously and so do we. We are committed to offering transparency of your privacy practices and control over your data in connection with BuzzMob’s services. You can access our Privacy Policy in the “About” screen found in the “More” section of the app.
You can change your privacy options by editing “My Privacy” through “My Profile”. You can choose whether or not to show your location, email address, and/or stay logged in when you exit out of BuzzMob.

I’m having trouble logging in…

If you are having trouble logging in to BuzzMob, please double check that you are typing in the correct username and/or password. Please make sure that the “Caps Lock” key is not on. If you cannot remember your password, go to “Forgot My Password” and a temporary password will be emailed to you. Be sure to reset your password once you are logged in.

How do I log out of BuzzMob?

Simply touch the Settings icon at the top left corner of the BuzzMob List View screen and select “Logout” at the bottom.

How do I share BuzzMob?

As they say, the more the merrier! And this is especially true with BuzzMob.  We make it easy for you to build your Mob. You can share BuzzMob with your family, friends, co-workers, and acquaintances via Facebook, Twitter, or Email. Simply touch the Settings icon at the top left corner of the BuzzMob List View screen and go to “Share This App”.

Can I share “Buzz” to Facebook & Twitter?

Absolutely! We love sharing through Facebook and Twitter, and we hope you want to share your BuzzMob experiences with all your friends and followers. You can share any Buzz or Photo within any Mob by simply touching the gear button on that Buzz you want, and select the “Share” button.

Can I create a Mob of my own?

Of course! Once you have downloaded BuzzMob onto your smartphone, and you don’t see any interesting Mobs within 0.25 miles from your location, you are empowered to become a Mob Boss. In the BuzzMob list view, touch the “Request a Mob” button and have at it. What are you waiting for? Get the Buzz going!

How do I create a Mob?

In the BuzzMob list view, touch the “Request a Mob” button and follow these VERY EASY steps:

Enter your Mob details, including:

  • Mob Name (required) – For the more verbose among us, no more than 30 characters, please.
  • Mob Description (required) – Enter a gripping description of your Mob that will entice other Mobsters to enter your Mob. Dostoevsky, no more than 140 characters, please!
  • Add Avatar – Touch on “Add Avatar” to include an image (photograph, logo, or any other image file) you want associated with your Mob. The avatar can be an image taken with the phone’s camera or selected from an existing image from your gallery.
  • If everything looks good, click on Submit Request and wait for your Mob to be approved and created.
How do I invite friends to my Mob?

You can invite friends to your Mob via Facebook, Twitter, or email. If they are not already a Mobster, you can invite them to download BuzzMob with the “Share This App” function in the User Settings screen. If your friends are current Mobsters, you can share any content (Buzz, Photos, and BuzzPoints) within your Mob via Facebook, Twitter, or email.

Can I edit my Mob properties?

Yes, of course! Mob Bosses are able to change most properties of their Mob after that Mob’s creation, including the name, description, avatar, photo.  The only thing you can’t do is move or change the physical space of your Mob. To edit Mobs for which you are Mob Boss, simply send us an e-mail at: support@buzzmob.net and let us know what you want to change and we’ll make the changes on our end.
